This 18"Antique German Armand Marseille 390n doll needs some TLC as she is from a "Doll Hospital" box and needs to be repaired. Her bisque head has been removed from her bisque shoulder plate and she has no eyes. (The original eyes were the weighted open and close type.) Her kid leather body is in fairly good shape. But, the leather was pulled back from her shoulder plate revealing the number 32 and needs to be glued back in place. Her head is marked: Made in Germany Armand Marseille 390n. D.R.G.M.24G/1 A.01/2M. She has a cute dimple in her chin and four upper teeth with only a slight 1/32" blemish on her forehead. Her little finger on her left hand is missing. According to the Complete Collectors Encyclopedia of Dolls by Dorothy Coleman et. al., Armand Marseille made dolls in Germany from 1865 to 1925. This doll is from my mother's estate. She loved her doll collection and made clothing, wigs and shoes for her dolls. She also repaired them. This one was on her list of "Doll Hospital"dolls. I'm sure she had plans for restoring her, too! ! I am selling the antique dolls and doll parts from my mothers estate so be sure to check out our other items. The entire collection has been stored in a non-smoking and climate controlled environment. Please look at my photographs very closely and email me if you have any questions before you bid.
