A early pair of German bisque figurines. This auction is for the pair, boy and girl. I put Heubach in the title, because I think that or Hertwig targets the proper collectors. I only know that the style is Munich Child, or Munchner Kindl in German, because another eBay member saw my other auction of this type. They were kind enough to tell me what they are called. I know that the pair has to be quite old, because they are in photos of my mothers antique collection from before I was born. The girl is marked with a painted 3 inside her base. There is a little green bird feather from a previous owner stuck to her inside base, I plan on leaving it, because I got a chuckle out of it. They both have paint wear as seen in photos. The girl has a tiny paint touch up at the bottom of her skirt, shown in close up. She has the very tip of her pinkie finger chipped, on the hand she holds her doll in. Not detracting, as it's tiny. The boy is perfect with the exception of the tip of his stein handle is off. This is the little metal looking part you see that flips the stein open. Only noticed upon close inspection. The height of the girl in just over 12 inches, the boy is slightly shorter. A good bit of weight to them. The widest width is 5 1/2 inches. The girl has sausage in her basket and he has a feather in his green hat. The bottom of the base has beets or turnips. Just a beautiful pair, with my favorite one being the girl. I'm an expert at packaging, so have no shipping concerns.
