This *extremely rare* early 20th century Hertwig snowbabies figure measures a dainty 2.25"H x 3.0"L x 1.0"W, and depicts a charming scene of Old St. Nick having a good time riding a teeter totter with a snowbaby! In all my years of collecting snow babies (as seen in the very last picture my collection), I've honestly never seen this one in person, only in Mary's snow baby books, that's how rare it is, as all you fellow snowbaby (& Santa) collectors out t must know, especially considering the fact that it's snowed. Furthermore, it's in excellent vintage condition, but does have a repair to the seesaw (please see pics) & a tiny chip underneath w it was repaired at, which can only be seen upon close inspection, but nevertheless mentioned for accuracy ~ heads, hands, arms, legs, necks, clothing, coloring, et al, perfect. They would make a wonderful addition to your exquisite Christmas or Santa collection, or else a fabulous gift for that Snowbaby Fan! FYI: it's stamped underneath with the word "Germany" & is also incised with a number on rim of base. Also, as shown in first pic, it can be seen on page 145 of Mary Morrison's BIG BOOK of SNOW BABIES. And as she is a friend of mine, I have her permission to use the pictures in her book (thanks, Mary!). :) Any questions, please feel free to ask & I will answer to the best of my ability. read more
