This is an antique set of condiment jars (canisters) made in Germany and probably pre-WWII, circa late 1930s? They're obviously Delft style, but I listed as Dresden also, to enhance searches. I consider these a RARE FIND ; which is to say I haven't seen any others around (I mean originals, which these are, not reproduction pieces). T is a total of ten in this set, which includes three sizes. It is in overall great condition for age and origin, along with the doubtless heavy use in an active kitchen. The bodies are high-fired ceramic, with a blue transfer pattern of windmills on fronts and sides (backs are plain white) and black lettering. Lids appear to be heavy gauge tin, they have pewter-like patina outside and are still quite bright inside. Individual sizes, labels and condition as follows: Large: 7 1/2" tall (with lid), 3 5/8" wide and deep, quantity two: "Zucker" - 3/16" chip, bottom base rim, "Kaffee" - 7/8" chip front left bottom base rim Medium: 6" tall (with lid), 2 5/8" wide and deep, quantity two: "Tee" - mild crazing, 1/4" chip left rear bottom edge, tiny dent in lid, "Kakao" - lid loose? Small: 4 1/2" tall (with lid), 2 1/4" wide and deep, quantity six: "Pfeffer" - 1/8" chip, front right edge "Nelken" - 1/4" chip left front edge "Kummel" - 1/8" chip right base rim. "Muskat" "Gewurz" and "Zimmt" have NO damage Also, the chips I mention are ONLY surface level and do NOT have any adjoining cracks, stains, etc...they are not obvious until close inspection, and do not distract the eye at all during display. For heavy utility pieces of this age, these are in remarkable condition!! Please excuse the blur on "group photo" w I had them displayed on cabinet top. They are all crystal clear (as per other photos) in real life! Contact me if you need any more information; prompt reply assured. Reserve price ($250) is based on their cost when purchased about thirty years ago; I promise the blue and white collector won't be disappointed in the rarity and quality of these fine condiment jars! FREE shipping , along with insurance to purchase value, included in price. Please take the time to review my detailed seller feedback ratings. Thanks for looking! I was asked for photos of the chips mentioned, so I took some in natural lighting to avoid flash bounce and show them very precisely (they are really small and clean). BUT, I'm glad I was asked, as I found another tiny corner chip (about 1/8") on the "Nelken" jar that I had missed in the glare of artificial light, and wanted to mention it. Bidders, please let me know if you would also like these "chip pictures" sent to your eMail address (can't do through regular eBay mail since no photo uploads allowed!) and I'll be glad to do so! Sorry for the error, and if that one extra little chip means you want to withdraw your bid, let me know and I'll let eBay know it's okay with me! Thanks! Linda (for photo requests click "ask seller a question" and be sure to include your regular eMail address; I will respond through my regular eMail, and we'll all be safe...
