ANTIQUE KESTNER 6.5 INCH ALL BISQUE DOLLAdorable small doll is all bisque in excellent condition. I can find no damage. Even the tiny fingers are not damaged. She has a beautiful handpainted eyes and face. Blue shoes and white socks are painted on the legs. Doll is marked #5112 at the top of the head below the pate. These smaller dolls were made by various German firms and only had numbers and not the manufacturer, but a very reputable doll appraiser said it was a Kestner. c1880. Jointed at shoulder with stationary hips and neck, brown wig, painted eyes, painted shoes and stockings. The clothing made for this doll is very detailed. The gathered sleeves and skirt of the dress with petticoat are especially nice. The bodice of the dress is also lined. Lace and a ribbon sash highlight the dress. The pantaloons are also trimmed in lace with blue bows. She also has a hat. This is a hard to find small doll in this condition and nicely clothed. She is from my private collection. I am a serious doll collector and have purchased only quality dolls. I have listed this doll for at least 50% less than what I paid many years ago. If you have any questions, please email me and I will do my best to answer them.
