This is a fantastic deep relief stein that is marked number 379 at the base of the tree roots. T is a light maker's logo on the deeply recessed bottom but I can't identify it any better than saying it is close to Adolf Bauer 1887 trademark but then again has the appearance of the Reinhold Merkelbach 1882 - 1933 star trademark. I really don't know and it is so lightly impressed I don't think I will be able to do any better or provide a good photo. Stein is about 10 1/4 inches tall to top of bone finial. This beauty does have some minor problems but nothing that detracts from the deep relief beauty. The base resting ring has a shallow flake about one quarter inch long and t are two tiny flakes on the top rim under the lid. The pewter strap is loose on the handle and the lip of the lid is slightly deformed in spot but still fits fairly well as can be seen in the pictures.
