I am pleased to offer absolutely gorgeous, vintage porcelain Beagle or Hound dog figurine, which was manufactured by Sitzendorf, Thuringia , Germany . This exquisite piece has beautiful form with wonderful details, elegant design and a very nice glazing. The shape is lovely. It is the top of quality. Very well done! The artist who created this piece has successfully captured a wonderful expression on this dog's face! This lovely detailed large dog has got character! This is NOT a copy, reproduction or some other kind of porcelain. This REMARKABLE piece of art is very well marked with a green under glaze stamp. Sitzendorf manufacture hallmark has been inscribed on the bottom of this dog: SITZENDORF LOGO with the Crown and Letter “S” SITZENDORF has been the maker of fine porcelain since 1760 and is well known for their fine porcelain pieces, competing with several other quality German manufacturers, including: Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther, Meissen , and Dresden. There is a very clear MOLD on the bottom of the figurine: #9 #27560 Letter “G” Letter “Y” Letter “o” SITZENDORF LOGO with the Crown and Letter “S” This piece of Art is in Great vintage condition: No any damage and No restoration (no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no other flaws). The dog measures approximately 7.5" tall by 7" long by 4" wide. It is fabulous. This magnificent example of master craftsmanship by old artist is truly a rare find and must have treasure for any collector!
