You are biding on a stunning Antique German R-A Regulator Wall Clock c1870 The ornate clock case is in excellent condition for its age and measures 41"H x 14"W x 7"D. Only the usual traces of use can be found with nothing marring the original beauty and finish of this exquisite clock. The elaborately worked top piece can be removed as well as the bottom pear-shaped ornaments and bottom centerpiece. The original enamel dial is in excellent condition. Enclosed in the elaborately decorated walnut case, swings a rare gridiron compensation pendulum. The use of different metals in the pendulum enhances its visual appearance and the accuracy of the clock. The striking mechanism chimes fully on the hour and once every half hour . The clockwork movement is completely functional and keeps accurate time. The movement is a Werner C. Uhrenfabrik movement as seen in the phograph. Also known as a âeoeRegulator-fabrikâe or âeoeWerner-Werkeâe movement, this company was founded at Villingen, Baden, Schwartzwald, Germany in 1870 by Carl Werner, later run by his sons Carl Jr. and Hermann. The original key and wall-levelers are also included. This is an old clock, with usual traces of use. Please ask questions before bidding. All sales are final.
