Wonderful and rare find! Antique Regimental German Beer Stein. Faceted crystal jeweled lid with picture of military scene underneath glass. Rough point on top of lid, however this is hardly noticably and truly a non-issue considering age. Pewter handle has lion and shield. Lithophane inside depicts picture of soldier. Date on front says 1899-1901. Vivid color in military action vignettes. Appears to be from town of Aschaffenburg. I am not familar with the German language. Please see pictures for verbage. Soldier's names are listed on either side of handle. I have been an antiques dealer for over 30 years and guarantee this stein to not be a reproduction. It is an authentic antique German stein. The condition is beautiful with no apparent damage or repairs. A true and rare find. Please offer any additional information if you can translate or are familar with details.
