GERMAN PORCELAIN REGIMENTAL BEER STEIN MILITARY 1903-1904 This is a fine antique reproduction of a regimental beer stein with ornate lid and lithophane. It is colorfully decorated with 5 vivid scenes, each with a caption; a soldier kissing his sweetie goodbye as he heads off to battle, a group of infantrymen on the attack, a small group of soldiers around a campfire, a soldier returning home, and an exquisite central portrait of a well decorated officer. The colors are vibrant and crisp with astounding detail. The script is neat and obviously original handwork. The superbly crafted pewter lid features a finial of a seated soldier. The thumb-lift is a shield-bearing gryphon. The lid is highly decorated with filigree and cannons. The shields read âe~JHR Bruder Stosst Die Glasser An Es Lebe Der Reservemannâe(tm) and âe~Der Treu Gedirnt Hat Seine Zeit DemSet Ein Volles Glas Geweihtâe(tm). The top band reads âe~Wertreugedient hat leine beit dem lei ein voller krug geweight âe" 0.5l.âe(tm) The second top band reads âe~ Einj. Frm. Kramer.âe(tm) T is a lot of other writing on the sides which I canâe(tm)t really read. The footring reads`2. Comp. 9. Bad. Inft. Regt.
