Origin: Germany Maker: Unknow Date: at 1880 / 1900 Measures approx.: High: 60.63 inches/ 154 cm Width: 18.11 inches/ 46 cm Deep: 8.27 inches/ 21 cm Condition: The case is in good condition in line with the age, only some normal trace of use and age. On a clock which is older than 110 years, these flaws are truly minor and neither lowers the value nor interferes with its charisma. Dial / Movement: The enameled dial has some very fine hairline cracks. Both the clockwork as well the striking mechanism are fully functional. This clock has a Grand Sonnerie striking. First it chimes the quarter, then repeats the hour every quarter. For example : at 7: 15 it chimes once and the hour (7) at 7:30 it chime twice and the hour (7) at 7:45 it chime three times and the hour (7) at 8:00 it chime four times and the hour (8) This feature is also known as blind man's clock. Incl. key All clocks we sell are in running condition at our home. But we have not test, whether the clock runs exactly to the minute. However, some antique clocks need adjustment, they need to be leveled and occasionally other adjustments after shipping. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the clock is directly in running condition when it arrives with you and if you are not experienced with old clocks maybe you need a professional clockmaker for setup the clock. Packing and shipping I guarantee you the best possible packing. All clocks will be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap and surrounded by a thick layer of packing chips. Possibly arising expenses for customs tax must be paid from the buyer. These clocks have survived wars, moves etc. and were then often stored in attics or forgotten in basements. This can, quite naturally, lead to the clocks showing normal traces of wear and tear, wormholes, small color differences in the wood or even damages in the veneer. The clockworks were cleaned and I cleaned the cases myself. If you wish to buy a clock which looks new and unused, please do not buy an antique clock with us. As mentioned before, we do not remove traces related to age since for us they are an integral part of an antique clock. We also cannot answer questions about whether all parts of a particular clock are still original.
