For bid is this ONE very pretty antique handmade German Westerwald salt glazed pottery crock. Well over 100 years old evident by swirled base, dimpled surface and uneven texture. Believe it or not this is actually not very heavy. Only about 4 pounds. The crock is in good condition for its age. Few slight imperfections and surface markings which can be expected on such a vintage crock. No major damage. You will notice a small hairline on rim. See photo. Being sold as is so please ask any questions and look at the pictures before bidding. I describe every detail as I see it and provide as much info as possible. You will notice the rare Antique Westerwald jug in the other picture. It is also listed seperately this week as well. These crocks are made in the Westerwald region of Germany and are authentic salt-glazed stoneware. The crock measures 8.5i inches tall and the width is 8.75 inches from handle to handle. The crock has a gray exterior color with deep cobalt blue painted designs. The inside and base is more of an earthtone color. No two crocks are the same. These are hot items in all the country magazines and the possiblities for use are endless. I have these in my garden with flowers! Very nice look. Postage and packing cost is based on buyer location.
