Excellent well made brass 30 hour weight driven movement was cleaned and oiled, and the beautiful mahogany case was cleaned and waxed with high grade antique wax. Excellent working, keeping great time and striking the hours as it should. I saw a couple of places where the veneer had been repaired, but done very well and hard to notice. The clock was made around 1879 by W.L. Gilbert Clock Company, Winsted , Connecticut . Antique weights and pendulum are included along with a proper fitting (newer) brass crank key. Please be sure to review all of the photos (and enlarge for closer viewing) as they provide additional details as to condition.Added Comments: I noticed that the movement has had a newer fly installed, well done but not original. Also, the clock measures 25 5/8" high by 15 1/4" wide.Please note that all antique mechanical clocks react to changes in temperature and humidity and, especially after shipping, almost surely will need adjustment to keep proper time. You do this by turning the nut at the bottom of the pendulum (up for faster and down for slower).. Only set the clock by turning the minute hand clockwise and do not move the hour hand. Be sure it is level so the tick-tock (the "beat") is even. If necessary, put small folded paper shims under one side or the other until the beat is nice and even. Similarly, if the clock
