Antique GLASS MAGIC LANTERN SLIDE Japan FIREMEN'S DRILL Firefighter FirefightingHere is a glass magic lantern slide shown by using a magic lantern "projector" that may have used a candle or kerosene as the light source. This is the all glass type with taped sides. This type can date from early 1900's forward. This one measures about 3 1/8" by 3 1/4". It has a paper label that reads: FIREMEN'S DRILL. Fabulous detail! It shows a large number of firefighters assembled and practicing various feats with ladders! The two groups with the men on the tall ladders may be competing.
