Item - Antique Glass Holy Water Bottle Description - I thought this was a Victorian perfume bottle at first, but now believe this to be a holy water bottle. The bottle is 6" long, and the faceted top is hinged. When it is open, you can see w the small glass stopper (included) fits in. T are a few ultra-tiny nicks along the bottom edge of the hinged top and t is one nick on the stopper. T is some slight water staining on the inside - I didn't have anything small enough to reach in t to try to clean it out. The metal hinge is in excellent condition, as is the exterior of the glass. The glass does flouresce green under a blacklight. I'd guess that this dates back to the late 1800s or early 1900s, but that's only a guess. Nice piece of collectible glass or religious item. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: PLEASE use the calculator at the bottom of the auction for shipping rates. I charge only the EXACT shipping amount, but it will vary based on your location. I'm in Massachusetts. If this type of item interests you, then feel free to add me to your favorite sellers list . That'll give you a heads-up if I find and post any other similar items. This has been a personal policy and it has worked out quite well for folks. International Bidders - I will ship internationally, but only if the bidder contacts me BEFORE placing a bid, since shipping charges can vary greatly to outside the US.Be sure to check out my other items ! I will offer shipping discounts for purchases of multiple items. A 5% sales tax will be applied to all purchases in Massachusetts.
