This auction is for an unbelievable piece of jewelry. This is an amazing handmade, hand engraved gold link bracelet that weighs a whopping 75.9 grams, 7 inches in length and 1 1/4 inch wide. This piece is being sold for my mother who inheireted it from her aunt many years ago and has been in a safe deposit box up until now. The bracelet has wide flat links that form a flat surface when closed and the surface is heavily engraved with a floral design and textured background. This piece has been a mystery to us ever since my mother received it from her aunt, there is no carat marking on it, but has been tested to an unusual 19kt by a certified and trusted jeweler. There are two small stamped marks on the tongue of the bracelet, but can't make them out, these could hold a clue to it's origin. The jeweler thought that it could possibly be Canadian because it tested to 19kt, which apparently is and was more common there. I fully guarantee that this bracelet is genuine and will test to 19kt. The only other interesting thing to this bracelet is my mother's aunt was given this bracelet by her boyfriend, who we believe had some organized involvement in New York City, where my mother was from, so he more than likely had access to many items like this. That of course, was many, many years ago and he is no longer living so we will probably never know where and how he obtained it. I will try and answer any questions you may have about this bracelet. I would like to add that I just inspected the two stamp marks on the tongue of the bracelet with a very high powered lighted microscope and the smallest stamp has the number 800 stamped on it, this stamp would confirm the gold composition of the gold at 19kt and I also just got back from spring break in Florida and had it tested by two other high quality jewelers down there and they also confirmed the gold content of this piece.
