ANTIQUE GOLD BROOCH with FINELY CARVED BONE CAMEO of CHINESE VILLAGE SCENE c1860 An antique 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts, of hollow construction) brooch, with an ornate mount with applied decoration, and set with a finely hand carved natural bone cameo depicting a traditional Chinese village scene. Such a fine quality carving...very collectable & wearable too! CONDITION : All original and generally good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. A few tiny nicks & chips to cameo - barely noticeable. Some denting and areas of old repair to mount. Cameo a little loose in mount, perfectly secure. DATE/MARKS : Around 1860/80. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : 57 x 50 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter. WEIGHT : Approx. 22.8 grams. our other items. Please NO RESERVE!
