This is a stunning shell cameo in mint condition. It was made in the early part of the century. Based on the research I have done, the markings of a triangle shape and bullion stamp in the gold casing indicate it is 14Kt. gold. In the early part of the century these markings are consistent with jewelry made in France. However, since I am not an expert I can only same that it appears to b 14Kt. gold. It might be 10 Kt. Gold. This cameo measures about 1 1/2" in length and diameter and is a nice size to be worn as a pin or put on a chain to wear as a necklace. This is part of my personal collection. I received this piece about 25 years ago. It was purchased at an antique jewelry store in New York. Thank you for looking and please come back to see what other things I have.
