RARE ANTIQUE GERMAN MONOCLE OPTICAL LENS ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** "This offering is for 1 delicate antique "gold" monocle with a vintage loop chain!" This monocle lens is from an antique optometrist set circa the late 1800's and was made in Berlin, Germany. The monocle has a beautiful ornate decorative tab handle and measures 1.5 inches in diameter. The metal appears to be a gold plated brass but I am not positive of the content. The magnification strength of the monocle is a 4.00+ making it the perfect strength to be utilized as an adjunct reading device or as a mini magnifying glass.The chain is a vintage brass piece consisting of oval loop links and measures approximately 30 inches in length. The piece does not have a clasp closure; it would be worn as a necklace by placing the piece over the head. The length of the entire piece will hang approximately 17.5 inches when measuring from the nape of the neck.
