ANTIQUE SILVER & GOLD GAUCHO DAGGER AND SCABBARD HIGHLY EMBELLISHED from ARGENTINA THIS WONDERFUL KEEPSAKE WAS GIVEN TO ME BY MY FATHER ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO. He told me to take very special care of it because it had a memorable POSITIVE history. IT IS TIME TO LET GO AND GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE TO OWN THIS TREASURE. T is a stain on the blade. It has always been t and it is absolutely NOT rust. It has always, in my lifetime, occupied a shelf in a viewing curio box. I do not want to scrub it with Brillo or any other abrasive material and cause scratch marks. This is not a damaged item. It is in beautiful condition. It just needs a good polish. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE WORK OF ART! On the Scabbard hook is the number 800 (solid silver) Under the inscription "Buenes Aires" is a Bird in Flight Under the Bird and over the inscription are open mouthed fish & the rest of the art work are scrolled leaves and flowers and stalks. Only the Blade is stamped with the makers mark & trade name: "H. Boker & Co." then a tree mark and then imprinted "Solingen" Under this it says: "ARBOLITO" Closer to the handle and imprinted vertically is the word: ALEMANIA THE NEW OWNER OF THIS UNIQUE ITEM TAKES WITH IT A LIFETIME OF GOOD FORTUNE AS IT WAS FOR US! TAXES: State tax applies to New Jersey Residents only. SHIPPING: Customer agrees to shipping AND handling costs. Buyer can request shipping options not listed. I will do my best to combine shipping for multi item purchases, but some larger items can NOT be combined due to size In most cases I will only charge $2.50 for packaging and transporting to the PO or UPS. If I make an error with shipping expenses, I will gladly return the overage or I will advise you of the additional amount needed for postage. I am new at this and learning. Please be patient with me and be assured that it is not my intention to overcharge you. I am also very meticulous about packing and would prefer to pack even the smallest items in a well cushioned box. This may account for a little bit more expense for boxing, packaging and protecting. Seller will NOT be responsible for mailing, shipping, packaging and insurance fees and/or loss or theft of item once it is shipped. It would be prudent to insure this item. Minimum $1.65 but you can change this depending on winning bid amount. PAYMENT: All transactions should be completed within 5 days.
