This a wonderful and unique piece that would add a lot of interest to any room or office. This is a hanging magazine rack that is done in the Gothic Revival style and is dated circa 1880's. As you can see, the design of this is really beautiful. The front of this piece is a framed print of three women sitting in the woods. The frame is attached to the back with chains at the top of the frame, and at the bottom of the frame with what appears to be a leather strip attached with nails. The frame opens to hold magazines, newspapers, or any number of items. There are some surface blemishes and the frame shows some wear and tear. There is a crack in the front that has been repaired, probably a very long time ago, and there are several cracks in the wood on the back. The piece measures 28" in height and 19" in width and weighs 3 lbs.
