This textile is an amazing Antique/Vintage hand-woven hemp grain sack from Europe that is made of pure hemp! Goodness this sack is GORGEOUS!~ lovely red and very rare white stripe!!~ The stripe pattern is stunning, and ideal for Christmas!!~ the ground tone of this sack is so dark, so beautifully slubby and nubby, very heavy, extremely high quality textile! This sack is also wonderfully wide at 24 inches wide! A rare and beautiful antique European textile. . Would make a beautiful upholstery fabric, table runner, decorative pillows, bolster pillow etc! ~*~ ~*~ ( Sack L41) MEASUREMENTS: This lovely sack measures approx. 48 inches by 24 inches. ( of course it is twice the lenght as it has both sides. All of my linen grain sacks have the stripes on the back also, unless otherwise noted~*~) CONDITION: This lovely sack is in original as found, unwashed condition with light storage dust that will wash beautifully ~*~ These wonderful sacks make perfect upholstery fabric, bench cushion, outdoor furniture covers, bolster pillow for beds ( simply insert king sized pillow) , sofa pillows, floor pillow, ( simply fill with feather comforter or body pillow insert and add velcro or zip to the end!) laundry bag, table runner, bath mat ( hemp is naturally mold and mildew resistant) , Beach bag, roman shade, hand towels, you name it! They are also perfect for upholstery projects as the fabric is wonderful and very very durable! ~CONDITION : This Vintage hand-woven European grain sack is Freshly laundered and ready to use!!~ ~*~These textiles are, by nature, extremely Eco-friendly! The average age of these textiles is 100 years and they were naturally home grown, home retted ( in local lakes and ponds) and woven by hand. These textiles are being re-cycled today and showing off the extreme craftsmanship of past generations! Yet another feature that makes these textiles extremely eco-friendly is their durability. These textiles were designed to endure generations of constant use~ and will have an extremely long life. These sacks are 100% machine washable! I wash them on a regular warm cycle and then hang to dry ( however you can tumble dry too!).
