Early l900's old fashioned handled nice nickle silver plated chamapagne and wine cooler (or ice bucket) with two large amply angled handles made by the Grand Silver Co. of New York which was originally started in around l914. This is strong, HEAVY! and a sweet old beauty which could use polishing if one wishes, though my neighbor who is a retired antiques dealer, tells me that silver-plate looks good with its old patina so she always left it alone. The wonderful thing about nickle silver, of course, is that one can use it 'til the cows come home and polish it and it will wear down to nickle, not to a coppery look that silver over copper does so this is an added feature. It is in great used condition with two "soft" bumps on the bottom and (barely)a gentle one in its center "mid-drift" area. Measures 12 3/4" wide from handle to handle, bowl top is 9 1/2" and it is 5 5/8" tall.
