Grande antique Elgin National Coffee mill/grinder that is approximately over 100 to 150 years old. Original coffee receiving pan that fits on the base of the grinder that easily slides out! How rare to find this 2 pc. original. A fabulous antique preserved through over a century. Dark colbalt blue on the double wheels with a dark ruby red with gold trim. Has in the center a painted design in gold and green. Outer painting on the grinder has No. 43 in gold in color on the front with design. This also has a wood handle. Made of cast iron on the base and wheels with either heavy pewter or silver on the top with coffee bean opening. So ornate and taken care of through the century plus. I have had this lovely piece in my country kitchen for over 30 years. Very well could be museum quality for this country store antique. A stunning piece of history. Shipping will be a flat rate of $125.00 as it will be packed by a professional packing service. The height is 30 1/2" x 11 2/4" wide. 17" across each wheel. Notice: Flat rate shipping of $125.00 is only to the inental 48 United States. Hawaii and Alaska are different rates to be determined after the auction. Being in my country home for many years, the coffee grinder has always had a silver coloring to the hopper.
