You are bidding on a antique Gray model 23 Pay Station telephone. I aquired this from an estate sale and I am not an expert on this type of phone. A kind ebay member has helped me with information on this phone. He believes this is a 23 J. This is the aluminum body model which is a later production model than the cast iron version. It is not a reproduction just not as old as the cast iron model. It does use most of the same internal parts as the older model. It is in very nice condition with no chips or dents. The paint is almost all t with just a few small spots were it has worn off. Bakelite handset is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The front of the phone is hinged and drops down to access the inside. All inside parts are intact and in excellent condition. Some of the small screws on the coin chute have been replaced. Takes quarters that make gong bell noise when dropped in, nickels make "ding" noise, and dimes make "ding-ding" sound. Has locking cash drawer with green felt on bottom. Includes keys for both top and bottom. The top lock is not the original. It was replaced at one time. This lock works well however it could be replaced with an original if you can find one. I believe the bottom cash drawer lock is original, it is a 10-L. Cash drawer has serial number "214844". The coin shute on inside of phone is read more
