Antique Green Cut Art Glass Epergne with Mirror Plateau Description: This is a lovely epergne with mirror plateau is 9 pieces total. The mirror plateau has a pretty starburst or flower medallion with sixteen petal in all. Diamond File, Laurel Leaf and Divided Panel patterns are shown with in each petal. The crystal clear glass fitter holds 7 pcs. The 2 sets of three bowls and vases are fitted first. Large center tulip shaped vase fits overtop and is screwed in to hold all the pieces securely. All caps on the bottom of each vase or bowl is original and filled in with plaster, except for one which appears to have a repair showing a slightly shorter stem and the plaster is newer in color. Each trumpet / tulip shaped vase and bowl have cut and polished accents. The green daisy and starburst with other geometric patterns is pressed and filled in with green stain on each piece to match. Rim on each piece has a scalloped edge. The center tulip vase has a silver plated decorative sleeve and the silver plating does have some faded spots. Three rose bowls, three tulip vases and one (center piece) tulip vase.Condition/Measurements: No chips, or hairline breaks. 95% of the green stain is present. The three matching tulip vases are cloudy. The mirror plateau has some silver loss and is mostly on two of the leaves/petals and on the outer perimeter where the metal casing with footed base is fused together has spots of silver loss. Glass is not marked. Believed to be contributed to British glass maker, Webb, during the late 1800's. Measures 13-1/2" tall complete and the mirror base is 12" diameters. The bowls have a 2-3/8" diameter opening and of the three 9-1/4" long vases they have a 2-1/8" diameter opening. Center tulip vase has a 3-1/8" diameter opening and is a bit over 13" tall.
