This antique crock is marked H.H. Zigler Newville, Pa. on the bottom and is 8 3/4 inches high and 5 1/4 inches across the top. Glaze does not cover the first 1/4 of an inch or so up from the bottom. Also has two small chips and some flea bites on the rim. After doing some research, I believe this crock to be from around the 1860s. Holds approximately a 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon. Very interesting piece. The tape piece on the bottom says Gene, the previous owner. Fast shipping. Thanks for looking!
