is a rare beauty that dates to the early 1900's! I'm not sure w this was made but the lady definately has a French look and is decorated with the prettiest pink silk ribbon rosette/rococo trim with perfect tiny pink roses and green leaves. The top is covered in pale aqua pleated silk and on the underside is a silk padded tuft and a pristine white swansdown powder puff. The porcelain lady has her hands in her bluish hair. She has very nice detail and is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips or paint loss. Pale aqua ribbons and a tuft of lace make up her dress. Please note that the ribbons swirling around her are showing early signs of shattering. The puff fits perfectly into the bowl so it is obviously a matched set. The powder bowl is half glass and half sterling silver. The sterling is hallmarked on one side but it is difficult to make it out. I can make out the numbers "70483" and possibly "JN & Co." but I'm not sure. T are three symbols but I cannot tell exactly what they are. The entire piece measures 4" tall with the bowl being 2" high and approximately 2 3/4" in diameter at the widest point. The puff portion measures 3 1/2" high with the doll being 1 1/2" tall. This entire piece is in excellent, almost new condition. The only issue on this entire piece is the early shattering evident on the silk ribbons. The textiles and read more
