Gorgeous antique rolled (I think) gold half hunter fob watch. This watch has been well used and no longer works. It has a fantastic clear white face with large black arabic numerals, it has the hour and minute hands but no hand for the little bottom timer, t is no makers mark on the watch face. T is no glass on the large face and the glass on the gold cover is scratched. The front cover has nice sized roman numerals which are also easy to read. I think the watch is Victorian it has a shield (no initials engraved) on the back cover which looks Victorian, both front and back covers have light machine turned decoration. The watch is in grubby condition, with a good clean and service it could be restored to it's former glory, it measures 2 inches diameter. Not sure if it is rolled gold or solid gold, I know very little about watches and believe if t are no marks it is assumed to be rolled gold. Both front and back covers are hard to open, the back gold cover is very difficult to open and has been scratched and damaged w it has been carelessly opened. One scratch is particularly deep but no silver shows through, the watch has wear to the surface but no other underlying metal but gold is apparent on any part of the watch.This lovely old watch is very pleasing to the eye, is a nice weight/heft and would have been a very proud possession for a Victorian Gent.I start all my auctions at .99c which does not reflect the quality of the item - I think an auction is exactly that, an auction - a chance to pick up a bargain.
