You are bidding on this Vintage Antique Size 18, 15 jewel Hampden Dueber Watch Co. Pocket Watch with a swing out movement. The movement reads "Dueber Watch Co.~2438887~Safety Pinion~15 Jewels~Canton, Ohio". The Dueber Watch Case Co. bought out the Hampden Watch Co. in the late 1800's, thus the Hampden dial with the Dueber Movement. The Dial reads Hampden Watch Co. and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The crystal is clear and the case is in very good to excellent shape with normal wear for its age. The serial number dates the watch to between 1908 & 1909. What is really unusual about this watch is the WW I trench art engraved case, the man I got this watch from got it from the son of the man who engraved the case during WW I, and his son said his father engraved the watch to pass the time in the trenches during the war. The case is engraved with the circled letters "FLT" and the initials "W.H.F." and a crude rendering of the American Flag. The watch has been running, but it gains a little time so it will need to be adjusted. Please email me with any questions. Payment is due in 7 days. The shipping quote is for the 48 continental states only, Alaska, Hawaii & International residents please email for shipping quote. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS ARE WELCOME.
