This is a no reserve auction for a very nicely created figural meerschaum pipe/cheroot holder carved with a realistic rendering of a hand holding a bowl. Probably a product of the early 1900's. About 4 1/8" long, 1" high, case is 4 5/8" long. A lovely piece in excellent condition. Detailing is terrific. Beginning to handsomely color. Hand is very life-like with fingernails. Sleeve has a beautiful ruffle. Amber (amberoid?) stem is in fine condition but has an excellent repair at the connector. Stem does not unscrew. Case works properly & shows wear but no damage. Interior states: "Meerschaum, Bernstein" and is handwritten with: "1904, Bill Gunni"The pictures present an accurate visual accounting of this fine cheroot holder/pipe. 1st Class International shipping to most countries will be no more than $8.50.
