You are bidding on a 19th century hand turned wooden bowl with a 1/4" incised line going around the bowl 1 1/8" from the lip. This bowl was purchased at Adamstown, Pa. I believe this would be called a footed bowl with the base being raised 1/8" or less. This bowl measurs 12 3/4" by 11 7/8" and 3 1/4" high. They dry somewhat oblong. The bowl shows some wonderful lines in the wood from the hand turnings. This bowl is 100% old but I'm sure the distressed green is not as old. I purchased this for the incredable look. This would make a great center piece for your kitchen table especially if you love the primitive look. This is one of the nicer bowls I have had recently. This one is a keeper. I have included a picture of what my wife does with these old bowls and she gets a lot w do you find those bowls questions. Please check my other auction this week. I try to ship items priority because it gets to you faster and t is less chance of the item being damaged. Since the rate increase at the PO May 14 prices are very high.
