~*~What a gorgeous textile! ~ This is a lovely , small cart cover, from Europe made of hand woven linen~*~ Dating c 1900 ~*~

GORGEOUS. This is an old cart cover~ woven from the most glorious slubby, nubby hemp! ~*~ This was used to cover small carts when the farmer was taking his produce to market. It is made by hand stitching 2 panels of hand woven linen together, and then each corner has a wonderful , hand stitched tie, that would have been tied to the cart. The ties are VERY long on this textile, and beautifully hand stitched. They are amazing themselves, let along the beautiful cover that they are stitched to!~They are so long also, about 4 feet long each! ~ this textile has 2 faded red stripes that run down the middle of each panel and a lovely hand stitched monogram TB in the middle of one panel~*~ it is a truly special textile and would be perfect used today as a tablecloth, upholstery fabric, bed cover, and I love the idea of using this textile to bundle up a picnic ~ untie and you have a lovely picnic blanket ready to go ~*~* 100% machine washable~*~ Gorgeous~*~
