Here is one of most unique hanging lanterns! It was made in the 19th century Ã,Â- this hanging globe lantern is very gothic in design. It is so finely and exquisitely casted in bronze. The decoration is quite amazing Ã,Â- when you look at it all you can envision are knights in full armor preparing for battle. It has a wonderful patina on the bronze with a very muted shade of grayish verde. The hanging lamp weights a ton! It has a hinged door that opens that allows you inside to change the bulb and as I said the casting it totally superior. It has one or two little breaks in the bronze that really canÃ,Â't be seen unless you are totally scrutinizing the lantern. The interior has small square sections of a some what wavy type of clear glass Ã,Â- mostly all the sections are there except for IÃ,Â'm going to say it is missing about three square sections of glass. It has a huge sized ring on the top that you could attach to any size chain. I donÃ,Â't know Ã,Â- this lamp just knocks me out Ã,Â- IÃ,Â'm totally thrilled with it I love the design and the decorating. It could go with Gothic, Arts and Crafts, with Nautical, with Contemporary - this nice sized hanging lamp is a work of art in and of itself. It measures 15 Ã,½Ã,Â" at highest with a circumference of 40Ã,Â".
