From about1876-1889 Haviland &Co. made special pots for the English market and impressed the English Registry Mark (as was required) . It shows a production date of 1879. It also has what could be a decorators mark of " XMAS 1884 " with a stylized 'W'.Condition in excellent other than minor gold wear. Rose painting is lifelike but t sure is a lot of thorns!! Rope design on the handle and on finial really set it off. I call it a teapot because of the long spout and the strainer. It stands 9 1/2 " tall and 4" on each side. A real BEAUTY!!
