Heavy Glass Tri angular Apothecary Inkwell2" square base x 2 ½" tall, triangular profile, weighs 9.5 oz. Opening sits at an angle with a troth at the top [and bottom] for a pen rest. Design is such that back can become the bottom - rendering the same inkwell function.Inside the opening is a glass cone-shape stopper with an open end. Opening allows some control over dip pen when stuck into the ink supply. On the back of the bottle, etched into the glass is "Rd. 384633". Maybe bottle was used with number facing forward and bottle is rolled forward making the face the bottom. In very good condition - some scratches on the back and bottom. The cone has some small chips on the rim.I'm guessing this is an inkwell - it could at least function as one. It may also have been for apothecary or lab use with an eyedropper instead of pen.Pictured dip pen is only for scale and is not part of the listing. Please ask questions and we'll answer quickly.Check out my other items !
