~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ Up for auction today is this stunning antique/ vintage homespun linen/hemp sack ~*~ This is a beautiful beautiful black and maroon striped sack with the most wonderful pale toned hemp. This sack is lovely and soft with a beautiful bouncy feel, the quality is just amazing. My sacks are wonderful and heavy, built to last and last and last ~*~ This sack measures 4.79 feet by 22 inches wide~(146cm by 56cm) It is one long piece of linen sewn together at each side~ this sack is in lovely condition freshly laundered and ready to use. This sack is simply HEAVEN~*~ ~*~ . This sack will fit into a flat rate box, however if not combining with other purchases please check the postage calculator to see what means is less expensive! The linen is home grown, home retted and hand woven. These sacks are 100% machine washable! I wash them on a regular 40c or even 60c cycle and then hang to dry ( however you can tumble dry too!). If t is dirt present simply add Oxyclean or similar~ hemp was built to last, and last .....and last...the more you use it the more wonderful it becomes~ most times t isn't even a need for ironing after wash~ perfect for easy lifestlyes~*~ ~*~I have found so many uses for these sacks. I have made floor cushions ( reading cushions for my kids), bed cushions for propping on the headboards, laundry sacks, bath mats, also they are just wonderful to open out as table runners, .... I have seen them used for upholstering chairs, sofas and even someone has created a patchwork effect by opening out 7 sacks each with different stripes and sewing together to upholster a sofa..STUNNING...as they obviously have 2 pieces of linen to be used ( front and back) and most are one piece on linen simply sewn at the seams ( some have seam at the bottom, please enquire)....the list is endless! The linen is lovely and extremely tactile~*~ ~*~Shipping information~*~ Good news for my customers~*~ I ship worldwide and I offer a very economical and reliable service called Priority Mail offered by the United States Postal Service~ this works for both Domestic and International customers. I am able to send smaller items (most single pieces of French fabric, most mangle cloths and small multiple purchase.) within one envelope for $5.60 anyw within the USA, $10 for Canada and Mexico, and $12 anyw else in the world! The only requirement is that the textiles fit well within the envelopes. I will always do my very best to fit as many pieces in as possible!~*~Single grain sacks do not fit into these envelopes so please always request an invoice before paying and I will weigh your sack and send an invoice for priority shipping by zip code. For combined purchases that will not fit into an envelope and for combined multiple purchases t is another Priority mail service that I can offer called "flat rate box". I can ship anyw within the USA for $9.95, Canada and Mexico $24 or anyw else in the world for only $39! I will fit as many textiles as possible into these boxes and the dimensions are (in inches): 11 by 8.5 by 5.5 or 13.6 by 11.8 by 3.37 . ( the volume is about 2 medium sacks~*~) However, for single sacks it is very often less expensive for me to send in a regular parcel, so please always request an invoice before paying and I will send the least expensive way~ For larger purchases like linen rolls, that do not fit into the flat rate envelope or box, most times you will be able to use the shipping calculator so you can automatically see the charges for any destination in the world. ~ You can always trust that Loodylady will do her utmost to ensure that customers are getting the most economical and reliable service available.
