~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This textile is a beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of antique European hemp/linen roll ~ This roll of hand-woven of Antique European hemp/linen measures 11 yards long by 22.5 inches wide~*~ * ~*~ STUNNING roll~ This stunning textile is one of the most beautiful rolls of this hand-woven linen I have ever had the privilege of finding! This is an early roll, dating from the 19th century ~ This textile is woven using a stunning, darker warm toned linen and has been woven in such a way that it produced the most beautiful natural linen striations! Near the end of this stunning roll, the weaver has used a darker weft thread and there are stunning bands of darker linen that would make the most amazing feature for pillows, upholstery projects etc ( please see photograph 4) ! This is a slightly finer weave than most, lovely heavy weight. The tone has both warm tones and cooler gray tones woven in. This roll is a true beauty!~ There is some damage on the selvage of this roll near the beginning , this damage extends into the roll a maximum of 3/4ths of an inch, but should be taken into consideration in the width if the full length is needed for one project. This roll is truly STUNNING ~ ideal for upholstery, window treatments, and many other wonderful projects! ~ Very durable, machine washable, ideal for so many uses! I love knowing that these textiles were produced without the use of pesticide, just lovely natural fabric! ( I have attached some photographs for you to see the many uses of these textiles ( not included in this linen) ~*~ ~*( roll 684)CONDITION: This roll is in unwashed, unused original condition. Just light storage dirt that will wash beautifully! There is some light damage to the selvage in places so this should be taken into consideration in the width ( please see above) ~*~ ( please see easy washing instructions below! ) ~Please see my store page “ About Hand-woven, Homespun Yardage” for more information on these wonderful textiles ~ This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can almost always match much larger quantities for large projects~*~ ~*~* *~* ~*~You will never have to pay any Customs or Duty charges on my textiles posted to an address within the United States, as I have already imported all of my European textiles and have paid any fees for you~*~ My shipping is always fast, so you can expect your purchase to arrive between 1-3 days after payment within the USA~*~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, warm..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash with your normal detergent. If there are storage marks, allow the textile to soak. Then, machine wash on warm. I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~ These linen rolls can be line dried or dried in the dryer! Just be sure to check that the linen isn't getting tangled up on itself in the dryer and once removed is ready to use! ~*~ Very easy and inexpensive to have professionally cleaned also! ~*~ So easy to maintain! ~*~ Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! ~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls a...
