Antique Hiatt Nippers/Come Along Early 1900's Era,

Sold For:

Sold Date: 03/17/2008
Channel: Online Auction
Source: eBay

Up for auction is a beautiful Antique Hiatt Come Along/Nipper. Dates to about 1920. My neighbor purchased these over 40 years ago and is looking to start cleaning out his collection. This grip is stamped Hiatt on one side as seen in the pictures and British Made on the other side.

For the handcuff collector or any antique collector this is truly a rare find.

Manufactured by Hiatt & Co., Ltd., of Masshouse Lane, Birmingham, this rare English come along/nipper dates to the 1st half of the 20th Century.. Stamp-marked HIATT STEEL on one side and BRITISH MADE on the other. Hiatt's grips were much more expensive than any of its Darby handcuff models, and Hiatt made far fewer grips than it made handcuffs.
