Hello! This auction is for a great old antique 1884 Columbia "Expert" model bicycle. The front wheel stands 52 inches high. It has a comfortable leather "hammock" style saddle. It has new tire rubber that was expertly installed by a veretan wheelman. It has Spillane handlebars and Art Hart pear grips. Also included in this auction are the original handlebars, hand brake and mounting bracket, and five spare spokes. The serial numbers from the front fork and "spine" or "backbone" match. This bike has been ridden in parades and always gets the same response from onlookers--they always point and smile! :) This bike is an original "full nickel" bicycle and t are traces of the nickel plating showing through the patina on this unrestored 120+ year old bike. Chester Arthur was president when this bicycle was made. This bike can be viewed in Rochester MN and is being sold as is, shipping to be paid by the new owner.
