This auction is for a fine and highly detailed 15 k gold mourning ring form 1785. This size 7 ½ ring features a gentleman resting his elbow on a funeral urn and a weeping willow in the background The delicate hand painted plate below the urn is marked " Not Lost But Gone Before " The back of the ring is engraved " Ann Betty Died 4 April 1785 aged 70". There is a small amount of brown hair at the very bottom curled under the urn. The face is 25 mm high and 15 mm wide. The almond-shaped glass is nicely curled and in excellent condition. We garantee that the metal was acid tested and is 15 karat yellow gold. It weights 4,57 grams Two tiny gold balls are loose inside the ring. They must have been placed on both sides at the top of the urn. There is also a small slightly curled piece of gold that was maybe at the base of the white plate. Please have a good look at the pictures and do not hesitate to write for high resolution pictures. SHIPPING: CANADA & USA .
