Here is a BEAUTIFUL Antique Holland Johnson Brothers England gravy boat, in Flow Blue Onion pattern, and it is in excellent pre-owned condition...looks brand new! It is number-stamped on the bottom, but I can't read the number. The matching pieces I have listed number 457,719, and this gravy boat was part of the set owned by my grandparents...possibly my great-grandparents. From the research I did online, that number dates this piece to 1905, but I can't guarantee that. Johnson Brothers were one of a few companies who produced "Flow Blue" patterns, and the process was started in Staffordshire, England around 1820. The process got its name from the deliberate blurring of the blue color...achieved by adding lime or ammonia to the kiln during glazing. Measurements are: 7 1/4" total length, 3 3/4" total height, and 3 3/4" total width. There are a few blue specks on the white part. Also, the blue band isn't perfectly placed, but no chips, cracks, or crazing. I am also selling the matching covered vegetable dish, vegetable platter, and plate, and will ship them together. I accept PayPal only. SHIPPING IS FREE (to US addresses only, please). Thanks for looking!
