Great old Holster with a pocket along side the pistol that I was told is for a ramrod or cleaning rod. It is in great condition with one tiny spot of loose stitching at a top edge see last photo. ALL the rest of the stitching is great, tight and no loose spots. Hand tooled leather with a small hole at the bottom for the tie down strap which is not included. I was told this is late 1800's. Overall length is 12 3/4" and width varies from 3 1/2" to 5" widest. and I think the barrell length would be about 6 1/2" to 7". Interesting design as the back flat leather and the inside leather of the Holster itself is all one piece of leather and the outside leather piece of the holster has hand lacing binding it to the under leather section. Beautiful piece and was so tempted to shine it up with some leather cleaner but I was afraid I would ruin the patina as it is gorgeous. Will be carefully boxed for shipment. Thanks for looking.
