This sleigh was found in a carriage house in Clinton, Maine when the farmhouse was purchased. The carriage house is now dilapidated and we would like to see the sleigh salvaged. Unfortunately. I do not know much about antiques but can tell it would need a lot of loving care to restore. As far as age, I tried to take many pictures to best help those who are interested and might know more about sleighs. T is no padding or bells. Sleigh measures approx. 79"long X 34"wid. X 39ht. The pictures should show rust, and broken areas that need repair. The farmhouse was owned by Mrs. Owen who ran the Oak Grove School for girls. The school girls would often visit the farm and have overnights. Horseback riding pictures have been found at the farm but not any pictures of sleigh rides. I can answer some questions about the farmhouse and also details about what I see on the sleigh. I hope you choose to give this sleigh a new home. It is not possible for me to ship this, sorry.
