ANTIQUE HORSMAN COMPOSITION BABY PRECIOUS MAMA DOLL Description I have found and identified this 21 inch doll on page 276 of "Composition Dolls Vol.2" but ours has blonde Mohair ringlets and brown eyes. Otherwise she is as described: Made in the 1940's, has a composition flange head, wired on arms and legs to above the knee, cloth body, stitched hip joints and closed mouth. All of her original facial paint, wig and fully lashed sleep eyes are in wonderful condition. Please note the tiniest 1/8" crack over her left eye was filled and some crazing on the composition legs repainted and sealed...This was done to prevent further damage. She does also have her original "mama cryer" that still works fine! She is wearing the most adorable 3 piece outfit made of old gauzy floral material including a ruffled bonnet,high yoked dress and onsie with trim to match. Please note a few tiny holes lost in the folds and that I have replace the fraying sash on the bonnet and sewn a flower to a hole in the brim and I think she is a quite lovely 70 year old doll.
