Thank you to the kind Ebayer who took the time to email me regarding the age of this flow blue pitcher & bowl. This is what I have been informed. : Re. your question about age of pitcher: See Godden mark # 4285, Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks. Age is pre-1907 but after 1891. Today I am offering the most gorgeous Antique Flow Blue Trilby Bowl & Pitcher set made by Wood and Son you have ever seen. This set is fabulous and would adorn your home with beauty for all to admire. I am not an expert with antiques, I just purchase items that I love myself. I am a huge lover of old flow blue, which is why I purchased this. From what I understand doing some research on Trilby, the earlier products had Wood & Son...later more sons were added which changed their marking. I have decided that it was time for me to part with my treasure and share it with another fellow Ebayer. I looked over the set with a magnifying set of glasses to check for any marks, crazing or cracks that I could see. T really is not crazing to speak of that I could see. T were a couple of indentions in the glaze on the pitcher, but appeared to be in the firing. The bottom of the bowl has several brown imbedded pindot pieces in the glaze....again part of the firing. No cracks or repairs. This piece is in superb shape for its age. I do not know the read more
