Manufactured by the General Gas Light Co., this Humphrey Radio-30 Ceiling Fixture is an amazing piece to illuminate any vintage room. Made of durable steel, it has an interesting green porcelain accent, a fabulous original vintage patina, and great eye-catching appeal. A metal tag on this Ceiling Fixture reads "Humphrey Radio-30 Mfd. by General Gas Light Co. Kalamazoo, MICH 44 W. Broadway, New York" and lists several patent dates. Measuring 18" in length, it is approximately 10" at its widest point and accepts a 6 1/4" globe shade. Circa 1930's, this Humphrey Ceiling Fixture appears to be a converted gas lamp and is wired and working. The apparatus with the pull cord is not an on/off switch, but was probably used as a control for the gas. Humphrey Products has been firmly rooted in Kalamazoo, Michigan since 1901 when it was known as the General Gas Light Co. This auction is for the Humphrey Ceiling Fixture and globe.
