Hand Crafted Twined Polychrome Openwork Native American Basket from one of the North West California Tribes – Hupa, Yurok or Karuk Created Using Gathered Native American Basketry Materials (Conifer Root, and Bear Grass, Fern and other Native Materials) Circa 1905 - 1934 4 inches high x 7 1/4 inches in maximum diameter Condition: Very Good: There is one broken strut in the openwork, and some wear to the rim as shown in the photos. Description: This is a nice size shelf item with a pleasant design, good color and aesthetic appeal. It is an expertly crafted example of early California basketry.
