Rare antique asian bowl recently appraised by Appraisers Association of America (ask for details). Spur marks on base in conjunction with the mark (Fuku) indicates the piece is old but was found too much of a challenge to date, therefore presently unknown though thought to be at least 150 yrs old. Flowers and tendrils are well done. Animal in center is a Qilin, a mythical creature known throughout Asia which is said to appear with imminent arrival or passing of a wise sage or illustrious ruler. As photographed inset there are minor flecks of enamal due to age, and a small hairline crack not making contact with edge or lip of bowl. Otherwise considered in collectible condition. No international shipping available.
