This auction is for a set of 4 fine china cups and saucers made by Imperial Bavaria, Germany. The set is in mint condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing. The cups and saucers are very thin and light weight. You can tell by holding them they are very fine china. Each of the 4 cups and saucers are a different color; pink, green, yellow and purple. The cups measure 4" across the rim, and stand 2 1/2" tall. The saucers are 6" in diameter. The cups are hand painted and signed by the artist; "de bee" or "de bec", I'm not sure of the last letter. The rims, handles and bases are highlighted in gold, probably 22 kt. Each piece has the mark of a green seal with a gold crown and crossed swords. Imperial is in gold on the seal. Across the mark in green lettering is Bavaria (doesn't show well on pictures) and under the seal in green is Germany. I'm not sure of the age but they belonged to either my grandmother or my great grandmother and I am 51 years old.
